A winter Elopement | Qualicum Beach Elopement Photographer

The thing about February is that, around here, you really never know what you’re doing to get for weather. Vancouver Island can bring you anything from 20* and sun to two feet of snow and -12. You really never know. But when it comes to working with nature for photos, that’s one of the beautiful things about the process. It gives us so much opportunity to be creative with whatever the day presents!

On this particular day, we were incredibly lucky to not only get sun, but also decently warm temperatures. The water levels weren’t crazy high, but they were beautiful enough to fill waterfalls, and so we headed out in chase of that exact thing.

There are an endless number of waterfalls on Vancouver Island, but this particular set, just outside of Qualicum Beach, is down a bit of a steep cliff at the end of a gravel road that is at the end of another rural road. We knew it would just be us out there and it was the perfect location to celebrate this love.

We started at the waterfall for some couple’s photos, but we moved up to Little Mountain for the actual wedding part of the day. This was another amazing location, and gave these two gorgeous people and chance to change up their outfits a bit as well! And all of this was within a short adventure distance!

If you would like to have your own winter elopement, Circle Ceremonies and I have designed elopement packages just for this! Send me a message for more info!
